Director, writer and producer

Mohammad grew up in Karachi, Pakistan. During his high school in Karachi and college studies in New York (Hunter College), he started making experimental and documentary films that addressed the inequalities around him. He created the Productionflux Incorporation in 2005 in Karachi on his return and made documentary films for the next 9 years that got selected at Claremont Ferrand, Copenhagen, and Vancouver Queer film festival. He won the award for best film from the Muslim world at the Tehran film festival for his Valley of Fear which featured Malala and Ziauddin Yousufzai. His quest to tell stories continues in Canada as he is writing and directing shorts, features, and TV shows for international audiences. His latest short Kharish ( itch) is an adaptation of his mother's short story with the same name that tells a story of young Pakistani girl trying to get rid of an itch in between her hips while she is traveling home.

His films have been selected and shown in festivals like Claremont Ferrand, Copenhagen film festival, Vancouver Film Festival and won awards in Tehran film festival.
